Broadmoor Gates
Photography by Neil Talbott

Walking into the 5 Star Broadmoor Hotel is an experience in luxury. From the resort’s earliest days as the “Grand Dame of the Rockies”, it has been recognized for its meticulous attention to detail.

Neil Talbott’s photograph of the Black Iron Moorish-style gates that lead guests into the larger of the two pools at the Broadmoor Hotel is located at the north end of Cheyenne Lake. While the pool itself offers stunning views of Cheyenne Mountain, Neil’s photograph offers a dramatic image that harks back to the Broadmoor Hotel’s original construction in 1891.

With his background as an architectural illustrator, Neil’s photographs, including this iconic image of the past brought into modern day, capture simple and elegant historical details of classic buildings in Colorado and Colorado Springs.
